Our education campaigns happen in several places:
- In the classroom – We have an education program designed by PAWS and the local vets to educate students about the importance of spay/neuter and vaccination for their pets.
- In the streets – We do outreach by visiting homes to talk to locals about improving conditions for all the dogs and cats in their community. We bring food, medicine, and flyers about our programs to improve the outlook for dogs and cats.
- In policy – We are also fighting at the front lines for enforcement of the new law against animal mistreatment and abuse. Whether publicizing how the new law works, or helping to prosecute the offenders, we know this new law is an important step in the right direction, and it is our job to defend those who cannot defend themselves.
- At PAWS – We organize monthly vaccination campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of vaccination and to make the vaccines more accessible and affordable. We also send home educational literature with each of our adopted dogs and cats to help new owners learn about proper care and important things like heartworm prevention.
